What you type into a calculator

Dates, numbers and other inputs are processed on your device by the page's own code. They are not sent to a server, not stored by the site and not put in the page address. The site has no accounts and no database.

What is saved on your device

The site itself sets no cookies. (Google Analytics sets two only if you accept it; see below.) It uses your browser's local storage for two conveniences, both optional and neither containing personal data:

  • calclabb_theme: your light or dark theme choice.
  • calclabb_favorites: the calculators you marked as favourites (their ids only).
  • calclabb_analytics_consent: whether you accepted or declined analytics.

These stay in your browser. You can clear them at any time in your browser's site-data settings.

Copy, Share and PDF

Copy writes a result to your clipboard when you press it. Share opens your device's own share sheet; what you send, and to whom, is your choice and is handled by that app, not by CalcLabb. Download PDF builds the file in your browser and saves it to your device; nothing is uploaded, and the file name never contains a date of birth.

Analytics, advertising and third parties

The site has no advertising, no web fonts and no other tracking. On the live site, and only there, it can use Google Analytics 4 to count page visits in aggregate. This is optional: nothing is requested from Google and no analytics cookie exists until you press Accept on the banner. Pre-launch and preview versions of the site contain no analytics at all.

If you accept, your browser loads a script from googletagmanager.com and sends measurements to google-analytics.com: the page address and title, your IP address as part of the request, approximate location, and device and browser details. Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_VXX67WWW72. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and advertising storage stays denied.

The site adds no custom analytics events and never passes calculator contents to Google: dates, grades, credits, names and results are not sent, and calculator pages put none of them in the page address. Google Analytics' standard measurement can still record that a form was started or a link was clicked, without what was typed.

You can withdraw consent at any time with the Analytics settings button in the footer. Choosing Decline there stops further collection at once, including in the page you have open, and removes the two cookies; the Google script then stays in that page's memory until you reload, and is not requested again on later pages. Data Google has already received is not deleted by this. Your choice is stored on your device as calclabb_analytics_consent.

Hosting

Like any website, the service that delivers these pages can see technical details of each request, such as your IP address and the page requested, and may keep ordinary server logs.

Results

Calculator results are general information. Each calculator page states its assumptions, and an official source or organisation's own rule always prevails.
